PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Develop manufacturing processes in with assembly processing engineer team
* Apply manufacturing disciplines within a electronics manufacturing facility and develop design guidelines for mechanics in lighting; Provide design feasibility input for lighting products
* Work with PD group to integrate mechanics into solid state lighting products
* Design and process FMEA pertaining to mechanical parts and subsystems
* Capture mechanical requirements based on lamp designs
* Engage suppliers for production mechanical modules ensure they meet requirements of OEM
* Set technical direction for lighting mechanics testing and audit and review supplier testing of mechanical components and subsystems.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
BSME/MSME degree
3 - 5 years of Mechanical design/manufacturing and launch experience of Electronics product
Experience of Electronic Devices, Circuit board manufacturing processes and OEM testing procedure
Knowledge of Lamp manufacturing processes
Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary group of Optics, Mechanicals and Electronics; Capable of capturing Mechanical requirements for lamps based on optics/electronics and thermal requirements.
Ability to conduct failure analysis on electronic devices or modules
Good communication skills, written skills in English
Can work autonomously on projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in a team-based product development environment Ability to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic, fast-moving setting
3D CAD- Solidworks or Equivalent
Test plans for Designs
Injection molding/Die cast design
Hands on proof-of-concept prototyping
